From the lobby to the guest floors: one scent, several ways to place it.

Every part of a hotel has its own volume of air, its own busy hours and its own materials. The scent stays the same; the machine adapts.

Lobby & reception

The first and last point every guest passes. A floor-standing SBA2 covers a lobby up to 200 m²; a taller, wider lobby is scented through the central air.

Corridors & lifts

The same scent on every floor is what makes a hotel feel like one place. SBA1 or SBA5 HVAC units carry it through the ducts, with nothing for guests to see.

Ballroom, restaurant & lounge

Large rooms with different busy hours: the scent is scheduled by the hour, full during an event, barely there when the room is empty. SBV1 or SBB5 for 1,500–3,000 m².

Spa, gym & pool deck

Rooms where humidity and odours shift. A dry mist with no water adds no humidity and leaves no residue on the floor.

Scent memory outlasts visual memory by years. That is why international hotel groups run signature scents — and why a guest returning a year later knows, on the first step into the lobby, that they have been here before.

Our hotel series is built on the character of five-star lobbies: bright at the opening, warm and polished underneath, and steady enough to fill a large room all day. Twenty-six to choose from — and beyond them, the fine-perfumery series and Luxury Aroma by Botanica Fragrance Japan.

The scent is chosen at the survey and smelled in your own lobby, not in a showroom: its character shifts with the materials, the temperature and the ceiling height.

How

Choose one scent, use it at every guest touchpoint — lobby, lifts, corridors, waiting areas — and do not change it with the seasons. What guests remember is repetition.

For housekeeping, this is one job that disappears.

Sprays and gels have to be bought, stored and replaced, and the result differs from floor to floor depending on who is on shift. A scenting system removes that: the intensity is set once, scheduled by the hour, and identical on every floor.

Refills and scheduled servicing are ours to do; a faulty unit is replaced during the rental. The hotel pays one figure a month, booked as an operating cost, with no capital outlay.

How

Start with the lobby: 200 m² and above goes in first and runs free for 7 days. Corridors and guest floors follow through the central air once the scent is approved.

We measure area and volume, look at foot traffic and the air conditioning, then work out how many points you need.

Scent trial

You smell the shortlist in your own space, not in a showroom. A fragrance changes character with the materials and the temperature of a room.

Installation

The unit goes in and gets a schedule — intensity by hour and by day, matched to your busy periods.

Servicing

We come back on a cycle to refill and service. A failed unit is replaced for the life of the rental.

What hotels ask before installing.

How much does hotel scenting cost?

A lobby up to 300 m² takes the Prestige plan at Rp 1,186,000 a month; corridors and guest floors through the central air up to 1,500 m² the Office plan at Rp 1,355,000; ballrooms and buildings up to 2,000 m² the Pro plan at Rp 1,698,000. Smaller rooms such as a spa or lounge start at Rp 597,000. Every plan includes the machine, installation, fragrance oil, servicing and unit replacement; the term is twelve months.

Is the scent safe for guests, children and pets?

Shizen fragrance oil is 100% natural and alcohol-free, dispersed as a dry mist with no water and no heat — nothing settles on marble, timber or fabric. The oils are ISO 9001, IFRA and CNAS certified and registered with Kemenkes and the FDA. Copies of the documents are available on request.

Can every floor carry the same scent?

Yes, through HVAC units connected to the central air: one point per air-conditioning zone. The lobby usually keeps its own floor-standing unit so it can run fuller than the guest floors.

How large a unit does a ballroom need?

Ballrooms and large rooms of 1,500–3,000 m² use the SBV1 or the SBB5 (a dual system, 2 × 1,000 ml). The schedule follows the event: full an hour before guests arrive, light while the room is empty.

What about events — a wedding or a launch at the hotel?

Alongside the monthly contract we rent units by the day for weddings, exhibitions, product launches and corporate events, including delivery, set-up and collection.

Is there a trial before the contract?

Yes. For areas of 200 m² and above — almost every lobby — the machine goes in first and runs free for 7 days at your hotel. Once the scent is approved, the twelve-month term begins.

Are Shizen's scents the same as other vendors'?

Many scenting machines on the market run on OEM fragrance oils from the same factories, so the scents offered by different vendors are often alike — only the names change. Shizen's fragrance oils are formulated by Botanica Fragrance in Japan and exclusive to Shizen, including the Luxury Aroma series, which is hard to copy and expensive to produce commercially at a competitive price; that is why they are rarely found with other vendors.
